Rims and wheel accessories: what to specify before you order
A wheel is a system, not a tyre. Even the right tyre will wear unevenly, run hot or fail early if it is mounted on a rim of the wrong width, offset or flange type. This page sets out the rim and accessory specification JABIL supplies alongside its industrial solid tyre range, and the four measurements you need before we can confirm a match.
The four measurements are: rim width, bead-seat diameter, bolt pattern (PCD) and centre bore. If you can supply all four — or a photo of the existing rim with the tyre size — we can confirm a matching rim without further back-and-forth.
Rim types and where each one is used
Rim width must match the tyre section width within the maker’s tolerance. A rim that is too narrow pinches the tyre and increases heat; one that is too wide reduces load capacity and sidewall support.

What JABIL supplies
- Industrial forklift rims — manufactured to ISO dimensional standards and compatible with Toyota, Hyster, Linde, Crown, Raymond, Nissan, Komatsu and TCM trucks.
- Powder-coated finish — orange, yellow, black, white or a custom RAL colour, so the wheel matches your brand or your customer’s fleet standard.
- Pre-mounted wheel assemblies — tyre already mounted and inflated or bonded to the wheel, ready to bolt on. This removes the pressing and fitting step from your workshop.
- Accessories — valve fittings, wheel nuts and bolts, centre hubs, bearing and seal kits where applicable.
- Custom PCD and offset — non-standard bolt patterns and offsets produced to drawing for OEM and fleet-specification orders.

What we need to quote a rim or wheel assembly
For a mounted assembly, add the tyre size and compound. For a press-on replacement, the band diameter is the critical number — send it explicitly, because a band that is even slightly out of size cannot be pressed on correctly.
- Tyre size and rim diameter required — or the existing tyre size if you are replacing a set
- Bolt pattern (PCD), number of studs and centre bore diameter
- Offset, if the existing wheel has a detectable offset or the machine is sensitive to track width
- Rim width required, if you are not matching an existing wheel
- Quantity, colour preference and whether the tyre is to be supplied mounted
- Destination country and required date
Common rim and wheel questions
Yes. Send the tyre size, the required rim width and the bolt pattern, and we will confirm a matching rim. Where the size is non-standard we will say so rather than supply something that will not fit.
Only by trained personnel following the rim maker’s procedure, using the correct tools and torque figures. A multi-piece rim assembled incorrectly is dangerous. Many customers order complete pre-mounted assemblies for exactly this reason.
Measure the diameter of the circle passing through the centre of the stud holes (the PCD), and count the studs. A 6-stud wheel with a 205 mm PCD is written as 6×205. Send both numbers with the rim diameter and we can match.
For the sizes in our industrial range, yes. OTR and larger AWP rims are supplied to drawing or against the machine specification — send the machine model and the existing wheel details.
Standard sizes ship with our tyre orders, typically 15–25 days after confirmation. Custom RAL colours and non-standard PCD add production time — tell us the colour and pattern at enquiry stage and we will quote the real lead time rather than a generic one.

Rims & Accessories — Buyer Questions
Do you supply rims with the tyres?
Yes. For common forklift and press-on sizes we supply steel rims and band-mounted assemblies alongside the tyres, so a dealer can order a complete wheel rather than matching components locally.
How do I measure a forklift rim?
Rim size is written as width × diameter, for example 5.00-10 or 8.00-12. Measure the bead seat diameter and the rim width, and check the bolt pattern and centre bore against the hub. Send a photo of the existing rim if any measurement is uncertain.
Are split rims and locking rings available?
The rim type must match the wheel the truck was built with. Multi-piece rims must only be assembled by trained personnel using the correct procedures — tell us the existing rim type and we will supply the matching item.
What accessories do you supply for forklift wheels?
Alongside rims we supply valve fittings, nuts and bolts, centre hubs and pre-mounted wheel assemblies. Tell us the truck and size and we will list what is available for that build.
